To the Leonia Community:

It is my distinct pleasure and honor to announce that the Leonia Board of Education has unanimously voted to appoint our very own Dr. Xanthy Karamanos as Superintendent of the Leonia Public School District.

Over nearly five months, the Board conducted an extensive search, reviewing an applicant pool of nearly 30 highly qualified professionals and holding multiple interview rounds. Throughout this rigorous process and throughout her time in Leonia, Dr. Karamanos consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, a deep commitment to the success of students and staff, and a balanced approach that embraces both innovative technology and proven educational practices.

Her clear vision for the district, alignment with our Strategic Plan, and proven track record in Leonia made her the candidate best suited to lead our schools into the future. The Board is confident that under her leadership, our district will continue to thrive.
