We are excited to welcome you to Back to School Night on Thursday, September 18th! This evening gives families a chance to experience what your child’s school day is like at LMS. You’ll meet teachers, learn about academic programs, and hear about classroom routines.
Please read carefully, as the evening runs differently for Grades 6–8 families and Grade 5 families.

Grades 6–8 Families

• Follow your child’s A Day schedule (Thursday is an A Day).
• Parents of 7th & 8th graders should attend their child’s Quarter 1 Cycle Class.
• Health & PE classes will meet in the LMS Gym.
• If a class meets only on a B Day or in a later quarter, you may contact the teacher by email for program information.

Grade 5 Families

• Meet with your child’s 5th grade classroom teacher (two sessions available).
• Session 1 (Last names A–L):6:40–7:17 pm
  • Begin with the 6:30 pm Welcome in the Gym.
• Session 2 (Last names M–Z):7:51–8:28 pm
  • Begin with the 7:40 pm Welcome in the Gym.
• Presentations from Specials teachers (PE, Music, Spanish, etc.) will not take place this evening. Families may email those teachers directly with questions.

Additional Details

• Arrival: Please do not arrive before 6:10 pm. Doors open at 6:10 pm.
• Entrance: Use the Rotunda doors, accessible from the Broad Avenue sidewalk on the north side of the building.
• Seating: Gym bleachers will be open.
• Purpose: Back to School Night is for families to meet teachers and learn about classroom routines. It is not a parent-teacher conference.
• Audience: We prefer BTSN to be for parents/guardians/caregivers only.
• Tip: Print your child's class schedule to bring with you, or be able to access your child's schedule on your mobile device. Ask your child to review their schedule and hallway routes with you before the evening—it will make navigating the night easier!
