🦁 LMS Back to School Night - Thursday, September 17th at 6:30pm
Dear LMS Families,
We are excited to welcome you to Back to School Night on Thursday, September 17th! This evening gives families a chance to experience what your child’s school day is like at LMS. You’ll meet teachers, learn about academic programs, and hear about classroom routines.
Please read carefully, as the evening runs differently for Grades 6–8 families and Grade 5 families.
🎒 Grades 6–8 Families
Families of students in grades 6–8 will follow their child’s B Day schedule, since Thursday, September 17th is a B Day.
📚 Follow your child’s B Day schedule.
🔄 Parents of 7th & 8th graders should attend their child’s Quarter 1 Cycle Class.
🏃 Health & PE classes will meet in the LMS Gym.
📧 If a class meets only on A Day or in a later quarter, you may contact the teacher by email for information about the program.

🦁 Grade 5 Families
Grade 5 families will meet with their child’s 5th grade classroom teacher. Each teacher will offer their presentation in two sessions based on the first letter of your family’s last name.
Session 1 — Last Names A–L
6:40–7:17 p.m.
➡️ Please begin with the 6:30 p.m. Welcome in the Gym.
Session 2 — Last Names M–Z
7:51–8:28 p.m.
➡️ Please begin with the 7:40 p.m. Welcome in the Gym.
Specials teachers (PE, Music, Spanish, etc.) will not be presenting during Back to School Night. Families may email those teachers directly with questions about their programs.

📍 Additional Important Details
🚪 Arrival: Please do not arrive before 6:00 p.m. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m.
🛍️ Spirit Wear: From 6:00–6:30 p.m., stop by the Rotunda to visit with our LMS Home & School Association, who will be selling LMS Spirit Wear! Families can shop in person, check out some of our latest LMS gear, and learn all about our online Spirit Wear store.
📍 Entrance: Please use the Rotunda doors, accessible from the Broad Avenue sidewalk on the north side of the building.
🪑 Seating: The gym bleachers will be open for seating.
💬 The Purpose of Back to School Night: This evening is an opportunity for families to meet teachers and learn about classroom routines, expectations, and academic programs. Back to School Night is not a parent-teacher conference.
👨👩👧👦 Audience: We prefer that Back to School Night be an event for parents/guardians/caregivers only.
🗺️ A Helpful Tip Before You Arrive!
Please print your child’s class schedule to bring with you, or be prepared to access the schedule on your mobile device.
We also encourage you to ask your child to review their schedule and hallway routes with you before Back to School Night. Your child can help you figure out the best way to navigate from class to class, making the evening much easier!
