💙 Week of Respect is Coming to LMS! 🩶

Dear LMS Families,

Next week, LMS will be celebrating Week of Respect—a time to come together as a school community to promote kindness, inclusion, respect, and belonging. Throughout the week, we’ll be reminding our Lions that the way we treat one another matters, and that every member of our LMS community has a role to play in making our school a welcoming place for everyone. 🦁

We have some fun activities planned throughout the week!
👕 MONDAY: We Unite to End Bullying!
Students and staff are encouraged to wear their Leonia Spirit Wear and/or our maroon and grey school colors as we kick off the week by showing that we stand together against bullying and for a school community built on respect and kindness. ​Check out the attached flyer. 

📣 Morning Messages
Throughout the week, our morning announcements will feature special messages and reminders focused on kindness, inclusion, respect, and making a positive difference in the lives of others.

🏆 Week of Respect LiveSchool Challenge
Our Lions will have an opportunity to earn LiveSchool points by demonstrating respect, kindness, inclusion, and positive behavior throughout the week. As part of the challenge, students will also work together to create group photos holding posters and signs that demonstrate different ways we can show kindness. We can’t wait to see our Lions get creative and show what kindness looks like at LMS!

💬 Special Advisory Lesson
Students will also participate in a special Week of Respect Advisory lesson designed to encourage meaningful conversations about respect, inclusion, and creating a community where everyone feels valued and supported.

💙💛 FRIDAY: Blue & Gold Day!
We’ll wrap up the week by joining New Jerseyans all across the state in honoring the Week of Respect by wearing Blue and Gold! Let’s fill LMS with school spirit as we celebrate our commitment to respect, kindness, and inclusion. Check out the attached flyer. 

Let’s make it a great week, Lions! When we choose kindness, show respect, and include others, we make LMS an even better place to learn, grow, and belong.
